Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace and compassion. The Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind into the universe. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all. By hanging flags in high places the wind will carry the blessings on the flags to all beings.
I first learned about prayer flags during a visit to Dog Mountain in Vermont in fall 2017 and was inspired to create my own. My prayer flags are printed in the USA with eco-friendly inks on 100% cotton twill fabric. I'm now offering some of my designs on 100% polyester fabric which is more suitable for outdoor use. There are 10 plastic bottles in every yard, so it's a great environmental choice. All of the sewing and assembling is done by me. They are a string of 5 flags on 6’ of cotton cord, and they can move along the cord and be removed from the cord. Prices include shipping within the USA.
